Accounts & Payroll Office Assistant

Job purpose

 

To meet the continued growth of the business.  This is a busy and varied role which requires a highly administrative and numerate person who has a good knowledge of Sage 50. You will be part of the team responsible for all the accounts functions across the business. This role requires attention to detail, good communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and adapt to the requirements of the business.

 

 

Please note that we are based in Stow Maries and not accessible by public transport.  Therefore, candidates must be able to drive.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Enter supplier invoices
  • Process payments
  • Deal with accounts queries
  • Complete supplier credit application forms
  • Responsible for processing weekly pay for staff
  • Responsible for processing timesheets for agency staff
  • Admin support for the HR Manager
  • Responsible for advertising vacancies, reviewing CVs and setting up interviews
  • PA to Managing Director
  • General ad hoc administration including filing
  • Answering the telephone when needed
  • Order stationery and cleaning materials when requested

 

Qualifications

  • A good working knowledge of Sage 50 is essential
  • Excellent Word & Excel skills
  • Speed, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written English, numeracy & organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload  
  • A ‘can do’ attitude 

Working Days: Monday – Friday (negotiable)

Working Hours: 9am – 3pm (negotiable)
